About Mo

Monique Douglas, a 2018 inductee in Charlotte, North Carolina's Women's History Hall of Fame at the Levine Museum of the New South, identifies herself as an ordinary woman with an extra-ordinary heart! Over the last 30 years, she has dedicated herself to various career paths in sales, service, and hospitality management. Furthermore, she is now actively involved in our community through her non-profit organization, the Grooming Greatness Foundation, which is committed to educating, enriching, and empowering youth in underserved communities by exposing them to the visual and performing arts.


Monique and her husband, Kevin, are residents of Charlotte, NC, and they have the joy of sharing their lives with nine children and six grandchildren. Together, they are the proud owners of CBK Branding & Consulting Firm, which operates from the Society at 229 Social Club. Their boutique branding company specializes in creating visual brand strategies for small businesses, professionals, and corporations while emphasizing the fusion of heritage, community, and harmony from their historical location.

Monique's dedication also extends to the nonprofit community initiative, the Brooklyn Collective, situated in the historic neighborhood of Brooklyn in Charlotte, NC. Monique actively serves as the Executive Director and sits on the Board of Directors for this initiative. 

Monique is not only a public speaker and philanthropist, but has also authored five books and is a talented poet. Monique's leadership abilities and infectious smile are qualities that draw people to her. She believes in living a "rich" life, emphasizing that “a rich lifestyle has nothing to do with money, but everything to do with mindset and the embracing of meaningful relationships”.
